20 years of history. It's time to bring back a legend.
Many of us have cherished memories associated with the original Call of Duty PC game, a classic released 20 years ago that became a cornerstone in our gaming journeys. For me, it was the first game I played competitively more than two decades ago.
There's an undeniable magic in that first experience—the thrill of playing, the camaraderie of team matches, and the enjoyment of a well-designed game. Call of Duty offered so much to us gamers; it wasn't just a game but a stepping stone that fueled our passion for gaming.
Since its release in 2003, Call of Duty has achieved tremendous popularity, selling 4.5 million copies. I think we are all familiar with the great names that once stood among us: h2k, TEK9, OCRANA.ATI, WHO, Leisure, Dignitas, nEophyte, eSuba, Aeon esports, and more.
That's why we call upon Activision and Infinity Ward, the developers of the iconic Call of Duty, to consider this appeal from the global community requesting a remake of the original game.
A remastered version of the original Call of Duty will not only resonate with us, the veteran players, but will also introduce the younger generation to the classic that started it all. It will serve as a blend of nostalgia for longtime players and novelty for newcomers, thereby revitalizing and potentially expanding the franchise's player base.
Gather our forces and let's collectively voice our request for this remake and bring back the cherished memories we associate with this 20-year-old PC game.
